Can someone explain what Singapore gangs are like?

I’ve always been curious about Singapore gangs but never really understood what they actually do here as Singapore seems to be a pretty compliant, law-abiding place, so I’ve always wondered how gangs actually fit in here.

• are they active and visible or more behind the scenes?

• do people find them scary or are they not really a big deal anymore?

• how much do they actually fear or get into trouble with the police?

• do they still recruit or hang around certain areas?

• what do they do??
