Rep open Trap Bar question

I am coming from a titan rack width bar with two handle heights. The rep bar is lower and for my purposes that’s a negative

The bigger reason to move to an open bar is the kickstand design. I am wondering if I use deadlift pads (crash pads) to elevate the bar will the kickstand feature still work?
