VAC and Consular appointment in October in Delhi

Hi All!.

Myself, my wife and 11 yr old son have both VAC and consular appointments at Delhi for B1/B2 visa.

I am confused do I need to take my 11 yr old son for the VAC appointment as the interview has been made compulsory for everyone.

Please guide.
