Is it normal to trust strangers with our feelings more than friends?
So basically, I was just sitting wd my friends nd we were discussing a lot of things. Suddenly d topic came up about how we all even when surrounded by people still feel alone sometimes. We talked about how it often feels easier to open up to strangers rather than people we actually know, because strangers won’t judge us. With them, we can be honest about how we’re really feeling, our self-doubts, and what we want to do.
Sometimes, strangers even share advice or just listen in a way that makes us feel heard and that’s something many of us don’t get from the people closest to us. It's really sad because people r quick to label Gen-Z as this that, but they rarely stop to actually listen to what we’re going through. Instead there’s this constant expectation for us to b “perfect.”
I don’t know if wht I feel is ryt or not, but it honestly seems like the reality: most of us r escaping certain situations by opening up to strangers rather than those who actually know us. And that says a lot.
Would love to hear the thoughts of u guys.
