Anyone asked their manage straight about working J2?

I’m struggling to find contract jobs (UK), but many recruiters are hitting me for permanent jobs.

My contract mentions nothing about not being allowed to work another job, and I’ve voiced to recruiters “in the future, I might do contracting on top of this job. Is this an issue?”

It’s an awkward position and seems suicidal. What do you think?
