I got to call them mine

I got to call them mine

In a life time full of clouds

I swear they brought the sun

Lucky enough to call them mine

Since the day their life began

One came into life like a bomb

To soon to come straight home

from the nicu to fully grown

He’s left now free to roam

The next came to us on time

A peaceful bundle of joy

From tiny hands to full grown man

My youngest lovely boy

Each one such a gift to all

Respectful, loving and kind

There is no greater love I’ve felt

Or could ever hope to find

I’d my life to see them thrive

There’s no greater gift on earth

Than the soul tie that you feel

When you love the before their birth

A wand a screen some ice cold gel

A thumping from their heart

The deepest love that one could feel

The minute their life starts

You watch the learn the basics

Teach them how to make good choices

And pray they never lose the nerve

To use their lovely voices

I’ve given all that I could give

To protect them from the bad

Making sure they never lived

The kind of life I had

Echos of their voices ring

As upon my knees I fall

Wishing I could turn back time

Just to relive it all

Kissing tiny tender toes

Butterfly kisses n eskimos

They were the garden where my love grows

I feel the best has past

But don’t they make my smile wide

The warmest feeling from deep inside

Eyes swell up with tears of pride

The years flew by too fast

Im sorry this last year was pain

If I could, so much I’d change

I hope the good times still remain

At the forefront of your minds

If there’s one thing I hope you know

You were a gift upon my soul

How lucky I was watch you grow

No better boys I’d find

You both have been the greatest gift that I have ever received

My most valued masterpiece

I thank god for choosing me.

And allowing me to be your mother.

Promise to be kind and loving

Please be now to one another

Don’t forget to call your mom

Always look out for your brother
