Returning to the Island?

We’re thinking of coming back to Ireland in the next couple of years. Was wondering what the quality of life ( inc cost of living ) is like out by Galway.

Internet access (latency) for me. My wife enjoys Pilates/yoga etc.

Any westies care to comment?

(I don’t know because I’m a Northerner who’s never lived in Galway. We were considering somewhere quiet, not in the city itself)
