Simulated Amps/ Tones

Just got a new Donner Hush X guitar as i’m going travelling this November, I’m not going to take my amp with me so I’m going to use my MacBook, don’t really know anything about simulated amp software, is it something that i’m gonna have to pay a lot of money for, or is there software where I can just plug it in, pick a tone and play for free or cheap ?
