Messy separation in Michigan

Location: Michigan. I am wondering if I have any rights to try to get some money back. I was with my significant other since 2015. In 2019 we moved into a home. Mortgage lady said to put in his name as I just started a job less than a year before. I put the down payment down and I know that’s a loss for me. Over the 6 years I added an addition on the the loft area for my daughter since she didn’t have a closed room. I bought the custom blinds for the large windows that I would be leaving as he has become emotionally unstable and too scary for myself and my kids to be living here still and has been kicking us out when he gets mad. Anything I can do or am I at a loss for it all?
