Will AI change how we shop online in the next few years?
Lately I’ve noticed more companies experimenting with AI for shopping — from virtual try-ons for clothes to personalized product recommendations that feel eerily accurate. Some tools even generate custom images of products so buyers can see different styles before they exist.
Over in r/FutureTech, people were discussing whether AI-powered shopping assistants will soon replace traditional browsing altogether. It made me wonder if online stores will feel more like conversations with an assistant rather than scrolling through endless catalogs.
Do you think AI shopping tools will make buying easier and more fun, or could it become too invasive with how much data they use?
