Mercari kept my money after UPS lost my order. Gave me credit that expired.

BUYING

Back in November, I ordered video games for my son that UPS lost. Instead of refunding me, Mercari paid the seller and gave me store credit that later expired. When I pushed back, they acted like they were refunding me—but they never did.

I was so fed up I gave my last five customers their items for free and then stopped selling on Mercari. At this point, I’d rather give stuff away for free than let them make another cent off me after all the scams I’ve seen on this platform. I kept reporting sellers who were passing off fake jewelry as real — even fake GIA cards — and Mercari just allowed it. No matter how many times I reported it, nothing was done. The worst part? When buyers figure out something’s a scam and return it, they aren’t allowed to leave any feedback—so the next buyer has no clue and the scam continues.

Let’s file a lawsuit. I think it’s time they paid back everybody they’ve robbed.
