Name change delays

Just thought I'd post an FYI here that the Vital Stats office that processes name changes is on strike and there's currently no movement on applications with them. If you have one in with them already, it's likely to take longer to get completed, pending resolution of their strike. Given that Canada Post is also on strike, it's basically impossible to get a new application into them anyway. I was told when I called not to try couriers either as there's no one in the building to receive them.
