Earning LPs during Instant Status Pass promotion

I Need Help!

Presumably because I never use my AA card except for AA purchases, I was offered an instant bump in status in July for 4 months, and if I earn enough LPs in those 4 months, I'll get to keep it for the following year. I accepted on July 30, so that gives me until Nov 30 to earn the LPs. Is it like the regular earning year of LPs, where even if they don't post for 4-5 weeks after, they would still count toward the 10k as long as I made the purchase before Nov 30 (or let's say Nov 20 to be safe). My statement usually closes on the 6th or 7th of the month, so do I need to have it complete by then? I prioritize Amex and Citi thank you points, so I never pay attention how my points post on the AA spending I do on this card.

I did just get an email from them reminding me about this which said:

You have until , to earn the Loyalty Points needed to keep or elevate your benefits.

That's a direct copy and paste - the date is blank except for the comma! The fine print at the bottom says

You must complete the 1-Phase Instant Status Pass™ promotion to keep your complimentary AAdvantage^(®) status for the durations as follows:

  • If you began the 1-Phase Instant Status Pass™ promotion between March 1, 2025 and October 31, 2025, after successfully earning the required number of Loyalty Points as of the last day of the promotional period, you will receive complimentary AAdvantage^(®) status for the remainder of the next 2026 AAdvantage^(®) membership year, with status valid through March 31, 2027.
