any advice?

i kind of like one of my guy friends, but its confusing situation? i hope this doesn’t sound weird or too confusing down below!! back when i first met him it was through mutuals as we were accompanying our friends because they were in a talking stage, but he’s also friends with my other close friends and i met him once briefly prior to that with them. when i hung out with them it was honestly one of the first times i felt comfortable in first interaction (i’m lowkey shy LOL) but i genuinely wanted to spend more time with him like i found that we are very similar + he’s very talkative (i love listening to other people)

we talked a bit back then when we first met but we stopped after a while as i stopped messaging (i felt like i was initiating first too much) he also got mad at me for something but he never told me (i heard it from my friends, but i also didn’t know what to do at the time— also i’ve found he’s not a confrontational person though) i then moved schools (to the one where my close friends were at because i didn’t like the previous school, which then i met him again and he randomly gave me a high five?? very unexpected according to my friends) but theres things i must add, i’m not sure about now but he used to look at me a lot, like when i wasn’t looking and was!! in group conversations he tends to make eye contact with me a lot too, he kinda mirrors me too?? we talk and hangout occasionally as we don’t have any classes together but i feel like i initiate a lot more generally?? i’m genuinely curious on this like how does he view me?

a little note; according to my friends asking back then, apparently he thought i was really pretty and he did like me?
