Help! I'm picking my first "metal" guitar!

Hi everyone. I'm currently shopping for my first "metal guitar . In the vain of a high performance guitar. I've been able to borrow an Ibanez rg 340m with a Floyd rose and some aftermarket super distortion pickups and have really fallen in love with the neck. I am probably going to go with something hard tail. I have been playing for a while so not new to guitars , just new to owning this type of guitar. Guitars have come a long way in 20 years and I'm wondering what guitars y'all are playing in this vein that would be best bang for buck? Thanks in advance. I've been looking at Ibanez and charvel mainly .let me know what is up! Thanks!!
