Asa may die in the next few chapters
A thing I've noticed about Fujimoto's writing style is that he is really good at killing off main characters, character deaths in chainsawman never feel cheap, though Power and Aki's deaths were sad they worked really well in the story. The thing is the more time a character is alive for, killing them becomes harder and complicated as if you kill them without closure (unless their closure is dying like Agni) it would feel really cheap and unsatisfying, and many times even if they do get closure their death still feels unsatisfying cause the audience is too connected to the character and ther death just feels like it's just for shock value, this is why many really long running series struggle to kill off characfers. The counterpoint to this argument is that if too little time is spent on the character nobody cares for their death.
Here's where my theory comes in, I think Fujimoto has some sort Chapter per character rule to this cause all major character deaths happen in this goldilocks zone where the audience is invested in the character but not too invested that they can't be taken out properly, for example Power was around for about 87 chapter, Aki was around for 69 chapters and Nayuta was around for 51 or 73 chapters depending on where you consider her first appearence to be. All of these deaths happen around a sort of Goldilocks zone.
Asa has been around for 118 chapters, which may seem like she is in the clear but the problem is we don't know what that goldilocks zone of chapters truly is, Asa may very well still be inside that zone and could be just on the edge of escaping that zone. One character we definately know who is clear of this zone is denji himself, Fujimoto likes torturing denji but still gives him a happy ending (part 1 ending was a bittersweet happy ending all things considered, and if part 2 didn't exist it would have been the perfect conclusion to Chainsawman) even Agni got a happy ending all things considered, he wanted to die and he died in the end.
Here's the interesting thing about this theory, if Asa survives the next few chapters I'm 100% sure she will survive the rest of the series as I think she is at the very brink of escaping that zone.
