Direct switch from Lexapro to Prozac; scared!

Okay so my nurse practitioner told me it was okay to do a direct switch from (20mg) Lexapro to (40mg) Prozac. I made the switch on Saturday, and so far all I’ve experienced is a bad headache and some diarrhea.

I made the mistake of googling about switching SSRIs and the risk of serotonin syndrome… I know. I shouldn’t have. But curiosity got the best of me. Now I’m terrified because everything I’m reading says NOT to directly switch in this scenario and I’m freaking out. Do I have anything to worry about? What is the timeframe for the risk of developing SS? Would it be within the first day or so or even longer?

I would love some peace of mind from anyone who’s been in my position! I’m sure deep down I’ll be okay but a little reassurance would go a long way.

Also, if anyone has any advice in general I would love to chat since I’m new here! I take meds for GAD; was on Lexapro for 4 years and decided to make the switch because I heard Prozac is more likely to help with sex drive issues. Lexapro completely killed my sex drive and I miss being horny lol (20f)
