Why do I keep ignoring all my methods?
I am so desperate for a decent sleep schedule. Back at school, I always used to sleep very little during the night. While going to bed at around 3am most of the time I slept around 4h and then at the afternoln again for a few. Now I am working a consistent job while being really flexible with the early hours, I fell back in early habits, just not so extreme. Going to bed at around 1-2am, but sleeping around 6-7h at once.
For a few months I am interested in self help, optimizing and so on. Trying with a few minor adjustments for my quality of life, only my sleeping habits didnt buckle. I have night mode settings on all devices regulating blue light, my phone shuts most of its feature before midnight, my computer just shuts down at certain hours, I had automated messages reminding me, stickers everywhere. Nothing works. Somehow my mind just ignores them after the first few tries. Everything that makes staying awake even hatder just gets strictly ignored subconsciously. Phone turns of social media? Turns it back on, pc shuts down in the middle of something (or nothing)? Turns it back on. Getting every device blasted with "GO TO BED" messages? TURNS. THEM. OFF.
Why am I doing this and regretting it shortly after when I am really going to bed. How can I fix this?
Surely forgetting to sleep cant be the origin...
