Do you think that HG should remove some of the secondary missions from the game?

Discussion

Roughly 100 hours in, I got to a point where I had completed the majority of secondary missions...and all of the sudden, the game was immeasurably better. My advice to all new players is to ignore most of them (ESPECIALLY the horrid, painfully long 'expanding the base' garbage). I feel like HG has improved. The new missions that have been appearing in the game since 2020 have slowly, steadily become less painful, and even fun. But there are so many terrible extended tutorials and random 'broadcasts' sent to your ship when you jump in that lead to 5-10 hours of content (which you don't know will be 5-10 hours when you start). It leads to the feeling that the game is constantly shouting at you.

And yet, so many of these missions feel obsolete. The game has grown away from them. I know that the philosophy has not been to remove, but to add. But I feel like it'd be better to organically discover your first Sentinel Ship, or Settlement, or buy your first Freighter, instead of having these things thrown at you.

Is it just me?
