Feels like late 70’s into early 80s music was a living human expression of the technological explosion. Nothing like since, I think.

Music Is Life

Was listening to to Eurythmics ‘Her Comes the Rain Again’, on a whim this morning and it occurred to me that we lived though the rise of digital technology that, in rock, pop, disco and even rap, we were hearing human interpretation of the pops, beeps, rhythms, hums and syncopations of the very tech that was rising around us.

Don’t think there has been anything like it since and probably won’t be. You can’t (I don’t think) express in sound, software or AI.
