Not being taken seriously because of ADHD
Hi. I’m 21F. For the past two years i have been dismissed by my gp who claims my symptoms are all caused by my ADHD.
In 2023 i started getting fatigued and low energy, I went to the doctor who did some basic blood tests, all normal. Nothing has changed since.
In 2024 i suffered a sudden random spontaneous pneumomediastinum with no trigger, not even a cough. I got a follow up CT a few weeks later and it had resolved, my doctor didn’t investigate further. Since then I’ve noticed possible circulation issues, my feet are chronically cold, they change between dark purple when standing or sitting and lose all color when laying flat. The pulse is weak in both feet and capillary refill can be very slow. Sometimes all of my legs and arms can be splotchy orange and purple.
Im also developing spider veins across my body, especially on the thighs, hips and lower back, but also a few on the shoulders. My face is getting more“translucent” as i can follow prominent veins all the way from my hairline to down below the eyes, and basically just losing color in my face. I’m at a healthy weight, cholesterol and clotting labs are normal.
During all of this, my fatigue is getting worse and i have almost no energy to do normal things. The past 6 months has been very hard and I fear that this will affect my study if it keeps going. I can’t get up in the mornings anymore (I sleep 8 hours), i can barely eat before 1 or 2pm, and it will take up to two hours to feel “normal” after waking up.
Am i right to think that this can’t all be mental health symptoms ? Any advice will be appreciated.
