How Much Will Gold & SIR M Charizard X Cost at Release?

I just read the Pokebeach article on pull rates for ME and I think we can reasonably assume similar rates for Phantasmal Flames.

Here’s what that would look like for the two Charizards.

Gold M Charizard X = ~1 in 1,260 booster packs

SIR M Charizard X = ~1 in 505 packs (SIR odds are 1 in 101, multiplied by 5 since there are 5 SIRs in the set.)

To put this in perspective, here are the pull rates for Umbreon from PRE and Mewtwo from DR.

Umbreon SIR - Release price: $1,500–$1,600. Pull rate: ~1 in 1,440 packs (About 1 Umbreon for every 3 SIR Charizards.)

Mewtwo SIR - Release price: ~$400. Pull rate: ~1 in 1,034 packs (About 1 Mewtwo for every 2 SIR Charizards.)

However, pull rates aren’t everything. The SIR Charizard is likely one of the top 3 Charizard cards ever printed, and hype for Phantasmal Flames is massive (plus price for the japanese version is already around 700). So, I wouldn’t be surprised if it starts around $1,000, though prices will drop as more product gets opened.

For the Gold Charizard, I expect something closer to Umbreon’s release price, especially since gold cards are gaining popularity. I also think the gold charizard will stay at that price for longer than the SIR.

Just my take, but with this market, I could be completely wrong.
