Additional Documents Status by VFS

I submitted additional documents for proof of relationship at the VFS center. But didn't receive any sort of receipt or tracking information. I am really worried if these guys will send it properly to embassy. I submitted email copy, cover letter and some photographs. Do we receive any acknowledgment or application status change on vfs website in such cases? How many days does it usually take?
