I did a team mock draft, and thought it would be fun to include other offseason moves I’d do based off of it and share it with y’all for opinions.

Step 1: Obviously find new coach

Free Agent Signing Reasoning

Trey Hendrickson: We are in position to right Trey a blank check and guarantee him a full (potentially) contract. I would expect us to have to overpay him to get him to come to us, but something our team and pass rush desperately needs.

Jamel Dean/Woolen: Cutting Snead here and trading Brownlee, CB is a big need once again. Signing Dean or Woolen will give us a starting level outside CB for a few seasons.

Alijah Vera-Tucker: AVT has seen an often injured career so far and could be in the works for a prove it 1-2 year deal if he leaves NYJ. Our oline could use the boost to risk a semi costly prove it deal with our cap space to improve the protection for Ward and help the run game.

Draft Pick Reasoning

Jeremiyah Love: Back to the Tennessee everyone knows and loves having an elite HB. Having a great rushing attack could take a tremendous amount of pressure off of Ward, and Love can also be a real threat in the receiving game for him as well.

Makai Lemon: Continue helping Ward. Lemon gives us a great young WR option from the slot to be our reliable guy underneath that still has the ability to make plays downfield.

David Bailey: Even with adding Hendrickson, we continue to build the pass rush. Bailey can serve as our EDGE3 behind Trey and Oladejo to give us a consistent pass rush rotation, and being able to step in when needed due to any injuries

Chandler Rivers: CB talent is still a need and we go with Rivers we has very good skills to compete for a Day 1 outside CB spot

Jackson Powers Johnson: Traded #103 for JPJ to replace Cushenberry and continue building up the IOL/improve running game.

Rayshaun Benny: We need to continue building up some reliable IDL depth behind Sweat and Simmons

Byrum Brown: Brown has some enticing skills and abilities to become a good backup QB in the league that we need for the future

Roderick Kearney: Kearney gives us a developmental swing tackle for the future
