I got my nails done abroad and I think they were definitely acrylics because I could see my nails growing underneath and they added tips on the end, I went to a teeny shellac shop who said they couldn’t take them off because they needed a drill.

Picture 2: went to a different nail shop, asked for my natural nails and to get away with it at work

Went back to shellac shop and they said they couldn’t remove them because of the ‘rubber base’

Picture 3: Went to another different shop, they used a drill to remove them and described it as shellac, it’s still my natural nails but I’m wondering what to do now

My lifestyle: I work for the NHS and this length is too long now, I want my own nails but my regrowth after a week and a half is awfulllllll but I feel having something over my nails has helped them GROW! With at home uv gels or standard nail polish including nail care ones, they would break too easily and horrible breaks that hurt and looked like bitten nails (more of an infection risk before I get hate for working in the NHS, my new team is lax with nails now but I prefer the nudes and naturals)

I don’t like how quickly I need to get them done (money and time) what would you suggest I do from now on? I’ve never been able to maintain long nails before but absolutely hate seeing the regrowth. I’m scared to have natural nails again because it’s been so nice not to break them with everyday activities

Thank you!
