Parking tips for DJ Shift at Palm Tree Beach Club (Las Vegas 10/10)
hey figured i'd share some parking advice for the dj shift show at the mgm grand. i've been to a bunch of events here and parking can be a total nightmare if you dont plan ahead.
honestly the best way to do it now is with an app called Prked. you can rent someone's private driveway or garage right next to the MGM Grand. it's usually way cheaper than the official garages and you get to completely skip the insane traffic jam trying to get out of the main lot after the show. you just park, have a short walk, and then you can leave instantly.
if you do want to use the official mgm parking, they have a huge self-park garage. for a friday night, expect to pay around $25. be warned, it gets completely packed for events and i'm not kidding when i say you can wait an hour just to exit your spot and leave the garage. it's a mess. they also have valet for about $40 but that line gets long too.
a little tip if you do park in the mgm garage: try to park near the north corner. you can use the stairs there and walk outside directly to the entrance, which is way faster than walking through the whole casino from the underground entrance.
other options... you can try parking across the street at the OYO hotel. it's a pretty easy walk over. sometimes the Tropicana has cheap or free parking but for a big event night they might charge $25 or more. showcase mall is another spot to check but it's a bit more of a walk.
whatever you do, get there early. traffic on the strip is always bad on a friday, and it's even worse with a popular event. trying to find a spot last minute is a recipe for stress.
hope this helps everyone out and have a sick time at the show
