I reviewed the Merchant Marines manual, it appears Bipolar could be waiverable?
Disabled Navy vet who had a TBI. Medical discharge because I started having migraines and a mood disorder (bipolar) as a result of it. They didn't want me flying planes anymore with that going on.
I saw that in the MMR manual under 23-1 section, it states it could potentially be waiverable. Does anyone have any experience in this and knowing how likely/possible waivers are?
I'm not on any controlled substances that can impair me, and haven't had any incidents in 2+ years. Basically I'm normal barring having to take nightly meds.
