Basic Life Opt Down [FL]

Is anyone here familiar with basic life “opt down?” Our HR provides a one pager that talks about life insurance coverage that is identical to the basic life insurance automatically included in our benefits at no cost to us. I emailed them asking to explain the benefit and they simply guided me to that one pager. Adding this opt down option does not increase or increase my benefit costs. Thanks in advance!
