IUI and Ovulation Pain Same Day?

Today I had my first IUI. I usually have ovulation pain 1-2 days before ovulation. I know this because I track my periods and it’s usually 15-16 days from pain to bleeding. I know it’s 14 days from ovulation to period (if that makes sense). I also track with OPKs. Anyway, my monitoring for my IUI fell on a weekend and there was a disconnect on when to tell me to trigger because my normal nurse and doctor only work throughout the week. I was suppose to trigger Sunday night. However, I triggered Monday night at 10:30pm after my nurse came in Monday morning and realized my mishap. I did get bloodwork done and an ultrasound to confirm I didn’t ovulate yet prior to trigger. Today, on Wednesday, I had my first IUI at 10am. Around 1pm, I felt ovulation pain on my right side (same side as my dominant follicle which was 18mm on Monday).

Is the Ovidrel shot guaranteed to trigger ovulation in the 36 hour time frame? I think I am just anxious because of the mixup at the clinic and don’t remember having ovulation pain day of ovulation prior to IUI day. I used frozen donor sperm and was advised that it is only mobile 12-24 hours. If I don’t ovulate until tomorrow, I’ll miss that window 🥲.
