Getting back to Idolator

So very new to the game and was on the Rush the Gate mission fighting the Idolator. I was quite underpowered so I fast traveled back to the golden chest to get some better weapons. Now I can't get back through fast travel - is there a trick to getting out of Kairos via fast travel? There was a fast travel station there at the Idolator's lobby area.
