Should I buy this car or no?

I found this 2009 Mitsubishi galant on face book marketplace for $1250 and It has 270,000 miles on it and this concerns me as this will be my first car ever and I don’t want to get something that will leave me stranded on the side of the road. I talked to the guy and he said the car has no issues. I don’t have extra funds to get a mechanic to come with me. What should I do?
