Is it worth paying for tinder?

Title says it all, I've been using tinder for a few weeks, I've got quite afew likes stacked up, I assumed that I'd eventually find them as I swiped but I must of swiped through 100-150+ women and not had a single match. Used tinder years ago and it was kind of fun, but is it now some kind of weird scam?
