Do direct debits need to have been collected before you switch?

Question

So the lloyd’s £200 offer criteria:

Open a new Club Lloyds, Club Lloyds Silver, Club Lloyds Platinum or Lloyds Premier account.

Use the Current Account Switching Service to switch 3 or more active direct debits and close your bank account held with another bank.

I’m going to use a chase dummy, i currently don’t have any DDs. I normally use SCRIMPR or any cheap direct debit (£0.50) but these normally take a few days to collect.

So can I set up 3 DDs now, and switch even though the dds won’t have been paid due to them taking a few days?

Or do i have to set up the DDs, wait a week until they have been paid, then start the switch (taking another week).

Or i guess anyone have an alternative cheap direct debits that are paid immediately?
