Native Workouts app text too small

Getting old sucks: I just got my first AW (AWU3) in many years, and I cannot read the Workout app text when I am running without reading glasses, which I don't use when running. On my Fenix(s) my main running screen was time, distance, and HR, and limiting to that data makes the text easily readable. On the AW, reducing the data on the screen doesn't make the text bigger, and the text size adjustment does not seem to affect the workouts app. Besides WorkOutdoors (which I have) any other ideas?
