I'm absolutely terrified of God

Here's something that has been really bothering me lately. I'm so scared of God. I know he loves me i know he sacrificed himself for my sins but i sometimes imagine seeing him in all his glory at the end of times or in heaven and i'm so scared of that image i can't stand it. I'm also terrified of all the heavenly beings and i don't know what to do about it. Like its silly i often pray to be friends with God but then i remember how terrifying he is and i get scared of ever asking to see him. Do you guys have any advice on this?
