Civil service interview

I have a competency based interview coming up for a HEO role and I’m really struggling with it. I have my examples prepared but I’m finding it hard to memorise them. I’m also anxious about curveball questions that don’t fit the examples. Anyone have any tips for these kinds of interviews? I’m so used to the general chat interviews in the private sector so this is a real challenge for me.
