How do I get rid of shorts????

Shorts have been consuming way too much time for me and they have also been distracting me a LOT. All I want is to watch the videos I like. Is there a way to completely remove shorts from the entire app? Not just in my feed, the button and stuff as well. I have tried a few external apps, but those don't seem to work that good.
