Weird object in a patient's blood, can you identify? The doctors couldn't

NSFWGeneral Question/Discussion

These microscope images were sent to my by a veteran ICU nurse. They found this thing in a patient's blood. They totally puzzled about what this object could be. As one of them suggested it might be some microelectronic part, she sent them to me if I can recognize it. No, I can't. As you can see, it's about as tiny as a red blood cell, and it seems perfectly round and symmetrical, a bit like a chess figure. I don't think it's microplastics, then it would be just a shapeless crumb. Maybe some molecule? A white blood cell is trying to eat it, with not much success.
