How is Nikki introduced to players one the CN version of the game?

Discussion

I've seen an interesting post recently suggesting that it is unlikely that Nikki will have more interactions outside of the main story because Chinese players are extremely protective of Nikki and see her more like a daughter. As an example, many were up in arms that Oriion set foot on Nikki's island and wanted him out.

I'm not mad per se, mostly curious. I'm assuming it's a cultural that ng and I would love in depth opinions on that matter.

I personally see Nikki as an extension of myself. To me she is more like an Alternative Universe version of me. Like if I was born in Miraland I would have hoped to be like Nikki. I'm not saying I am a saint like she is, don't get me wrong, but she is an ideal version of who I'd hope to be. Again, she is an extension of me. She is not a daugther or someone I must protect.

I wonder how culture affects this perspective. Do the Chinese dialogs infer to something else? Is this perspective from Shining Nikki where Nikki addressed the player as a third person who is always there with her?

I'd love to hear people's opinions on this and if your "relationship" with other game MC makes you feel any different. Like do people who think Nikki is their daughter also think of Link as their son is The Legend of Zelda games? Or is it specifically Nikki?
