Murder timeline theory

Here's what I think happened on the night of the murders:

1. Lester receives the cash from Nicky in exchange for working on the night of Oliver's wedding. He thinks about it for a while, then decides enough is enough. He goes down to the Velvet Room to return the money to Nicky and tell him he's not doing this anymore. Upon entering, he hears a great commotion and hides.

2. Nicky is threatening to expose the mayor and the three billionaires. He's waving the page torn from Lester's ledger as proof. He wants them to cancel the proposed construction of the new casino in exchange for his silence.

3. The mayor is up for reelection and won't take any chances. He grabs a nearby weapon, a cleaver, and he and Nicky wrestle over it, both scratching the card table in the process. Nicky's wild swing cuts off the mayor's finger and the mayor eventually kills him with a blow to the heart.

4. The mayor and the billionaires stuff the incriminating paper into Nicky's mouth and bundle him into a nearby freezer, removing Oliver's shrimp to make space for the body.

5. The mayor's finger has landed near Lester's hiding place. He hides it in a shrimp goblet, hoping to leave our OMITB trio a clue. In the process, he is discovered.

6. Lester flees upstairs but is caught in the courtyard and killed with a fatal blow to the head and pushed into the fountain.

I would love to know what you guys think! Do you agree with this timeline? The only odd thing I can't account for is the paint on Nicky's sleeve.
