How do we really fight this?

How can we protest?

I woke up in tears this morning. This week has been terrible in a ways can’t be ignored anymore and I find myself walking around with a sense of impending doom while the people around me seem to be going around like nothing is happening… like the United States of America isn’t descending into nazism at an alarming rate before our very eyes.

So what can we do?

I think about the fact that besides Meidas, or Maddow and Wallace on msnbc I saw essentially no coverage of the summer protests we attended, and that as far as I can tell those protests did nothing to change anything.

What DID get coverage by legacy media though was our public personal sacrifice…. of Disney/Hulu. That protest ACTUALLY WORKED.

So what if we collectively just decided to go without?

What if en masse, those of us citizens that still give a shit about democracy in this country just…. unsubscribed?

How do we start a movement of meaningful financial protest? This government is shoveling our tax money into their pockets and the pockets of billionaires as fast as they can by whatever means necessary, so why are we also giving them what little money we have left after they take as much as they want? Could you do a subscription detox for 1 year until the midterms in 2026? I bet enough people choosing 0 or just 1 media/entertainment/convenience subscription each month and cancelling all others might just be the only thing we can do to make ourselves heard.
