Confused at 22: Should I take self-financing BBA at AMU or wait for CUET/NATA next year?
Hi everyone, I’m really confused and would love some advice.
I’m 22 (turning 23 next year). My academics so far:
- 10th: 89%
- 11th: 90%
- 12th: 99%
I spent the last 4 years preparing for NEET UG but couldn’t crack it. Now I have an offer for a self-financing BBA seat at AMU (₹25k/semester), which I need to confirm by Oct 5th. At the same time, I’m considering preparing for CUET UG next year (for BBA in a central university) and maybe even trying NATA (Architecture).
Some information about my strengths (Differential Aptitude Test results):
- Verbal reasoning: 47
- Abstract reasoning: 81
- Numerical ability: 40
- Mechanical reasoning: 78
- Spatial reasoning: 78
- Language spelling: 49
- Language sentence: 44
Some context about me:
- I’m introverted, enjoy working alone, and get drained in group settings.
- I’ve always been creative — painting, computer science (liked HTML in 10th, not coding now), and some design work.
- I’m looking for a career that gives financial stability in India (maybe abroad later), allows family life in my 30s, and aligns with my skills and personality.
My dilemma:
- If I take the AMU BBA seat, I won’t lose another year, but it’s costly (₹25k per semester) and I’m not sure if BBA fits me.
- If I wait for CUET/NATA, I’ll be 23 starting college, and NATA + Architecture takes 5 years (I’d graduate around 29).
Has anyone been in a similar situation? What would you do — secure the AMU BBA seat now as a backup, or skip it and prepare for CUET/NATA next year?
Any insights would mean a lot 🙏
