Rewatched Cyberpunk Edgerunners and it's sad. When David was out of immunosuppressants and he was losing his mind and the way Lucy's touch was enough to bring him out of cyberpsychosis. Does love like that exist? The love that overcomes high tech mental illness? I love how we're shown that David is "special" because he used the Sandevistan 18 times a day while military trained men can only use it 2-3 times before their minds crack from the effect it has on your brain. But he's not really special, he just has a high tolerance. He has a high affinity for cyberware but eventually, the psychosis kicks in slowly. The tremors and hallucinations. And we're shown Adam Smasher who's ACTUALLY special. He has no organic matter left, a full cyborg and never got any cyberpsychosis from the transformation. The show is great. You may think you're hot shit but there's always someone out there who's better than you in all ways. And he will beat you at your own game.
