Proper nasal spray (Ryaltris) technique - am I doing it right if I can taste it ... 5 minutes later ?

I am currently taking Ryaltris (for suspected eustachian tube dysfunction). Before this I had taken various over the counter saline sprays etc.

I thought my technique was fine, I've watched various YouTube videos for technique guidance ...

But whatever I do, I always end up tasting the bitter taste of Ryaltris. Not immediately after spraying ... but maybe 5 minutes or so later, it starts to drip down the back of my throat - seemingly hitching a ride with post nasal drip.

Am I doing it right if I don't taste it immediately ? Or should I not be tasting it at all, not even 5 mins later ?

Alternatively, the spray sometimes won't leave the nostril (on the side that isn't causing any issues), and it drips down my nostril instead. That's obviously wrong, and I either aimed it wrong or I am too clogged for the spray to leave the nostril.

But on the side that's effected, I seem to be getting it where it should go ... it's just I start tasting it a few minutes later so maybe I'm not getting it in the right spot after all. Could it be that most of the spray is getting where it needs to go, but some is dripping with post nasal drip ? Wouldn't take much of the spray produce the awful taste.

I'm about two weeks in yo using the spray, with no improvement, so obviously I'm anxious that I'm not doing it right.
