[Discussion] Amazon Prime Day 2025 + Home Depot Deals Reddit – What to Expect?

Prime Day October 2025 is almost here, and I’ve been digging into what we might see this year—especially for Home Depot deals that often overlap with Amazon’s promos. Since a lot of us are looking to upgrade appliances, tools, and home improvement gear, I thought I’d put everything I’ve found in one place. 🔎 Why Home Depot Gets Mentioned With Prime Day

Even though Prime Day is Amazon-exclusive, big retailers like Home Depot, Lowe’s, and Walmart usually run competing sales at the same time.

In past years, Home Depot has offered steep discounts on power tools, smart home devices, grills, and major appliances during Amazon’s Prime Day window.

Google Trends data shows searches like “Home Depot Prime Day deals” spike around Prime Day, so clearly a lot of people hunt for this.

🛠️ Categories Likely to See Discounts in 2025

Appliances – Refrigerators, dishwashers, and washers/dryers often see 20–35% off.

Tools – DeWalt, Milwaukee, Ryobi, and Ridgid sets usually drop hard.

Smart Home Tech – Thermostats, security cameras, and smart lighting bundles.

Outdoor & Patio – Grills, patio furniture, and garden tools tend to be bundled with free shipping.

💡 Pro Tips for Shoppers

Compare Amazon vs. Home Depot – Sometimes Amazon wins on smaller gadgets, but Home Depot beats them on larger appliances because of delivery/install perks.

Check “Special Buy of the Day” on Home Depot during Prime week – deals rotate fast.

Use store credit cards or cashback portals – Home Depot often stacks extra savings.

Sign up for alerts early – Both Amazon and Home Depot push lightning deals that sell out quick.

🔥 Predictions for October Prime Day 2025

Expect bundled tool kits under $200 from brands like DeWalt.

Smart home bundles (Ring + Echo, Google Nest) competing against Amazon packages.

Major appliance markdowns, especially dishwashers and washer/dryer combos, since fall is a clearance period before holiday models hit.

Free delivery + installation perks that Amazon usually can’t match.

What do you all think—are you planning to shop Amazon or Home Depot for Prime Day 2025? And has anyone scored better deals at Home Depot than Amazon in past Prime Days? Would love to hear your experiences so we can all maximize savings.
