When is the best time to purchase a PS5?

I’ve been an Xbox player for a decade now but I’ve wanted to switch to PlayStation for a while now and after yesterdays unfortunate news I think now is probably the time to stop investing money into my Xbox. I want to get a PS5, but I’m wondering when the best time to get one is? Will there be a decent sale for Black Friday or maybe around Christmas too? I’m just asking for anyone who thinks they were pretty cost-effective where you got yours from and when you got it. Thanks in advance!
