Living with an autoimmune disorder means every day looks a little different. Some mornings I wake up ready to tackle things head-on, other days it feels like my body is running the show. Over time, I’ve learned that managing this isn’t about being perfect — it’s about finding what works for me and being kind to myself along the way.

Here are a few ways I manage day to day:
	•	Tracking symptoms & flares – I use simple trackers to notice patterns. Sometimes I’ll spot that certain foods, stress, or even lack of sleep trigger flare-ups. Writing it down makes it easier to understand my body.
	•	Pacing myself – I’ve stopped trying to “push through everything.” I break tasks into smaller steps, and rest when I need to without guilt.
	•	Medication & routines – Taking meds on time and sticking to routines helps me feel more in control. Even just keeping things organized in one place lowers my stress.
	•	Celebrating the small wins – Some days just cooking a meal or taking a short walk is a victory. I try to notice those little moments and feel proud of them.
	•	Community & support – Talking with others who “get it” has been a game-changer. It’s less lonely when you realize you’re not the only one dealing with the ups and downs.

It’s not always easy, and I don’t have everything figured out, but I’ve found that these little systems help me live with more balance and less frustration.
