I think my doctor prescribed placebo

I get a monthly prescription for palexia (1x per day) the ones I’ve had out of this box feel like that aren’t doing anything. I’ve had no relief from pain (and answer honestly no side effects, no I don’t abuse the medication I’m just stating the facts) is there any way I test the pill at home without buying a test kit? I really don’t have the funds and can barely afford my groceries. Any suggestions?
