timing of embyrology updates -- PM vs AM
I'm crashing out a little...
I just finished my third retrieval cycle with with a clinic and am in the embryology waiting game. On my previous two cycles, the embryology lab emailed me in the afternoons (3-5pm) at day 1, 3, 5, 6, and 7.
On this cycle, the embryologist (a different one than before) has been emailing 9-10am. On days 1 and 3, I didn't mind so much because the progression seemed positive (7 embryos with at least 8 cells by day 3 morning check). But the day 5 email came today and I'm freaking out because four of them are listed as "cleavage stage", two are 2BB/2BC, and one is "early blast." I'm now torturing myself wondering the 9AM update is not reflective of what might be happening at 4pm in the afternoon if they're given the extra 6-7 hours to develop. I have no idea if these "cleavage stage" embryos still have a shot right now or if I need to mentally brace for them to arrest. :(
Would it be crazy to ask for them to be re-checked later in the afternoon to keep consistency with previous cycles?
