To the Devs: why we are all frustrated

PinnedDiscussion Thread

I think I speak for many when I say that this most recent stream was pretty frustrating, what with all the corporate talk without any real concrete updates. So I want to talk about why, since I know at least one of the payday team reads the subreddit. Before I start, I want to emphasize most if not all of us understand it’s not you’re, the devs, fault. I get that it is probably as frustrating for y’all as it is for us, but I want to make one thing very clear:

We don’t appreciate corporate talk

This is something Almir brought to the table as it were, addressing things directly is always better than dancing around the issue. Skills 2.0 from today’s stream is a great example. People asked, and it took almost the entire stream to essentially say “we don’t know.” But the thing is that most of us would understand that if you just came out straight with “we are working on it, but we can’t tell you when it comes out.” Same with u4 vs u5, you addressed it multiple times without actually giving us any answer. That will always be more frustrating than any concrete answer, even if it is the one we don’t necessarily want to hear. All this laughing and preaching “we want to work with the community” while actively turning a blind eye to the things we’ve been yelling at you for the past year just… doesn’t feel good man. And I have no doubt Elizabeth and co. really do want to work with us, but with how the stream and general PR have been driven as of late, they feel more distant from us than ever.

TLDR: Please be direct with us, we will always appreciate it more than some corporate roundabout nonsense.
